With
PcClock, setting up the Employee
Record is fast and easy, especially with the use of helpful Wizards.
The software is designed so that each employee’s unique
policies defining their rounding,
overtime and the amount of time to deduct for breaks is maintained on
their Employee Record.
These policies can vary from employee to
employee. This means, for example, that your Managers can have their
punch times rounded to the nearest 1 minute, your Administration personnel's
punches rounded to the nearest 10 minute interval, and your Maintenance
personnel's' punches rounding to the quarter-hour. Also, for example,
certain employees clock-out for lunch while others have their lunch
automatically deducted. |

Employees
quickly get the hang of clocking in and out on the PC. They can clock-in and out,
change from one department to another, enter tips and view their last
punch. If Job Costing is tracked they can enter Job information.
They
can either use the PC’s keyboard or the PC’s mouse to select a
function and enter their badge number.
The optional badge reader lets the employee swipe an ID badge whenever asked for
their badge number.

In the payroll office, when the punches are
collected, they are instantly posted to each employee time card record.
Using secured access, employee time cards can be viewed and adjusted, if
necessary.
Each employee time card displays all of his in and out punches for the work
week, his calculated net hours for each day, his total regular, overtime and
doubletime hours and gross earnings, his charge-to departments, (if
tracked), his miscellaneous income like tips or commissions, (if tracked),
and his average pay rate. Special Type Codes like Sick or Vacation can be entered on the employee’s
time card and will be included in the payroll interface. Companies can
vary on their application of overtime when it comes to Type Codes. An
alternate pay rate can be applied to a specific work period and will
likewise be included in the payroll interface. Each employee can
clock-in up to 7 times in a day, providing accurate department charge-to
tracking. |

PcClock’s
optional Job Costing program enables your company to track up to 3
levels of user-defined information on every job. The employee simply
selects the correct job information from lists, either using the PC's
mouse or by barcode gun. Piece counts can be entered and bonuses
can be computed automatically.
Job Costing reports provide up-to-the-minute accounting for each job level,
employee and date, including piece counts and extended piece rates.
The job tables are setup
in the Job Costing department, then moved to the "Punch"
locations. Job information is entered by the employee at the
"Punch" location.
When the Job Costing department collects the job information, the time clock
data will not be affected. Likewise, when the Payroll department collects
the time clock data, the job information will not be affected. |
